📋 Eligibility Criteria for Various Types of Candidature for Admission

Applicable for Maharashtra State Candidature Candidates and All India Candidature Candidates

Eligibility for Admission

The candidate must satisfy the following conditions:

  1. The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  2. The candidate should have passed a minimum three years or two years (Lateral Entry) Diploma Course in Engineering and Technology with at least forty-five percent marks (or at least forty percent marks in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability category from Maharashtra State) in any branch of Engineering and Technology from an institution approved by the All India Council for Technical Education, or by the Central Government or State Government, or its equivalent;
  3. Or, the candidate should have passed a Bachelor of Science Degree from a university recognized by the University Grants Commission or the Association of Indian Universities with at least forty-five percent marks (or at least forty percent marks in case of candidates belonging to Reserved Categories, Economically Weaker Section, and Persons with Disability category from Maharashtra State), and should have also passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or its equivalent with Mathematics as a subject;
  4. Or, the candidate should have passed a three years Diploma in Vocational Education in the same or allied sector;
  5. The candidate must also satisfy any other eligibility criteria and requirements declared from time to time by the appropriate authority as defined under the law.

📝 Online Registration for Admission

  1. Apply Online: Candidates should register at https://dse2025.mahacet.org.in as per the official schedule.
  2. Application Fee: Must be paid through Credit Card / Debit Card / Net Banking / UPI only. Fees once paid are non-refundable. (Other payment modes will not be accepted.)
  3. Fees Details:
    • ₹ 1000/-General Category candidates from Maharashtra & All India Candidature.
    • ₹ 800/- – Reserved Category (SC, ST, VJ/DT-NT(A), NT(B), NT(C), NT(D), OBC, SBC, SEBC*, EWS) and Persons with Disability (PWD) from Maharashtra State only.
    • ₹ 800/-Orphan and Transgender (Other) candidates.

    *SEBC candidates’ reservation policy is subject to the Hon’ble High Court’s decision in related Writ Petitions.

📌 Important Instructions for Candidates

  1. Confirm your online application at E-Scrutiny Center or Physical Scrutiny Center. Failure to do so will result in application rejection and exclusion from CAP and Non-CAP merit lists.
  2. Applications not confirmed at scrutiny centers will be rejected — no entry in merit list for admission.
  3. Reserved category candidates (SC, VJ/DT, NTs, OBC, SBC, SEBC) must provide:
    • Caste Validity Certificate
    • ST: Tribe Validity Certificate
    • EWS: EWS Certificate
    • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate (valid till 31st March 2026) for all except SC/ST
    Without these, the candidate will be considered as GENERAL category.
  4. EWS candidates must upload the eligibility certificate as per Government Resolution No. राआधो 4019/P.N.31/16-अ, dated 31/05/2021.
  5. Once the candidate confirms the Option Form online, they cannot change or cancel preferences under any circumstances.
  6. If a reserved category candidate fails to produce required certificates, they must pay ₹200/- online as fee difference.
  7. After seat allotment, the candidate should download the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter.
  8. The Seat Acceptance Fee is ₹1,000/- (non-refundable), paid online at first acceptance only.
  9. Final admission is confirmed by the institute after verifying all original documents. The institute will issue an online receipt of confirmation.
  10. Reserved & EWS candidates must submit original certificates to the admitted institute by the end of Round 3 reporting. Failure will lead to automatic cancellation and the candidate will be considered under Open category for further rounds.
